...the coffee needs to be scaulding hot and the drill motor needs to be electric while the operator is being rained on.

The Allen head bolt location is ideal for a $1000 cellphone,

The part your drilling needs to have come from an old worn weak sheer with all the sharp edges and even a bit of a catch on one corner, and your pic is missing the small box of the 1/4 wide tiny bandaids.

I thought that was why the picture showed the box of gloves the drill operator forgot to put on, silly me, eyes

He probably figures out his mistake before drilling, and just picks up and holds the metal plate in his palm to drill it and not put a hole in the shop rag. biggrin

Why would one wear those thin gloves? They offer nothing.

With the unbelievably good luck I always have, the lock washers would go airborne and situate themselves around the cap screws, the cap screws would fling into their proper holes and inertia would start threading them in, the un-needed wrenches would fly into the open tool box drawer, the wrench that fits the cap screws would conveniently land in my right hand for final torquing, the coffee would land in my left hand, and the rag would absorb the 6 drops that spilt, and he piece of metal would go flying across the shop and lead me to the piston pin circlip that I lost 5 minutes earlier! smile

That is how the $1,000,000 song
“Twist & Shout”
got written.

If I attempted that I'd never find all of the screws, washers and allen wrenches, not to mention wearing the coffee.

Great pic, I had to look at it for a minute to figure out what the problem was, but I could see that stuff flying everywhere.

Yea, I would do it on my lap so the drill bit wouldn`t drill into the wood.

But you're wearing safety glasses, right?

Re: Do you have enough anxiety in your life? - 12/04/20 05:00 PM

there is not nearly enough small items on the shop rag, and the bench doesn't have enough "stuff" taking up space needed because the shop rag is laying out flat. biggrin

Doing it on your lap would be fine until that metal starts spinning on the drill bit about 60 miles an hour, resulting in your anxiety causing the bit to drill into your own would be wood, or the metal contacting your unit, resulting in a Jeffrey Bobbit situation.

There is just enough gap between the table and the wall for everything to fall behind and drop to the floor. Then you will only find 60% of what fell . . .

The longer I look at it the funnier it gets. haha

The kicker is that we all find it funny because we have done similar dumb stuff.

Kinda reminds me of an incident where one of my fellow employees was replacing a worn pilot's seat track in an executive jet; the drill bit caught a carpet thread and pulled out about five feet of it. Ever notice how just one missing thread in a carpet is so noticeable?

I had a similar experience like John just mentioned.
Many years back I was working using a 2 inch wire wheel in a power drill.
My shirt wasn't tucked in and that wheel caught the front shirt tail about 3000 rpm's it seemed.
It wrapped that shirt and spun it up to my neck so fast I didn't know what caught me.
It felt like a noose around my neck and the wire wheel just grazed the skin.
I had to feel around for reverse and backed it off......must have looked hilarious grin
