Have a Nov. '69 casting date 340 with 0R258007 stamping on pan rail. Can you tell me what it came out of? Must be a Cuda or Challenger since it appears to have been used without the oil filter right angle adapter used on A-bodies. Thanks shruggy

0R, so from a 1970 model from the Windsor, Ontario plant.

No E bodies from there.

They did make more Darts than Dusters though from what I have seen so far.

I thought ALL 340 engines were cast and built in Windsor no matter what body they were going into?!? shruggy

it would've been a Swinger, 340 Swinger
the complete VIN would've been LM23H0R258007

The partial VINs were stamped after the engines were built, just before they went into a car at the various car assembly plants.

Thanks up up So I have a Dart engine that was used later in something that did not require the right angle oil filter base or after the engine was pulled the adaptor was misplaced and the regular base put on the engine just for the sake of having an oil filter base on it.
I kinda like that 007 ending vin scope
