Baby Bull snake, did it hiss and strike at you? IF so it is a one, if not maybe it is a Gopher snake. confused
They look a lot alike shruggy scope
I've caught both, one baby bull snake that was really piss at being caught, it was nasty and mean and hissed a lot and would strike a lot.
All the Gopher snake where a lot older bigger, 5Ft.+, some would strike and bite me but not more than once or twice and then they would calm down be nice after handling them for a few minutes thumbs devil
I've been told both of those breed snakes will kill and eat other snakes, especially Rattlesnakes up
I've never seen that though shruggy

Never even tried to strike or hiss in any way , I picked it up (( with leather gloves on ) and relocated it maybe 20-30 ft away from where we were working.

It was quite chilly so he was REALLY lethargic , moved really slow .
