Credit Checking Service I Have Says I have an Alert

My bank has this free service where it checks me few times a month. It has some alert that when clicked says my email is on the Dark Web but just my Yahoo one.
I think that they just want me to upgrade thoughts?

Did they ask for your SSN or bank account number?

Best step one can take to protect yourself is to FREEZE YOUR CREDIT REPORTS!

I have been with this bank 30 years plus it is one of the largest and has a branch in most towns. They 3 months ago changed the account type from nothing just checks and ATM card to ATM and Credit Card and did away with the interest paid on balance. Same #'s But it came with some App you can add to phone and the credit check that runs on auto every 7-10 days. am not happy

There can be alot of false positives, alot of decoys out there with just large block of numbers and if there deal picks up a partial combo or partial chain its alert time.Then there is the sites that do list actual numbers but still even then if thats all they have its not much good. Just use common sense, try to check your stuff bi-daily and its ok/good to freeze your dredit.

Many dont grasp the so called dark web is just the internet thats not indexed in the conventional way and the internet we use here with google and such and all we search is only 4-6% of all the vast internet.
