I was in Shawano 2 years ago near Memorial Day when the track normally opens. The snow melt was late that year so the track was like a mud pit. The disappointment in town was insane. That track is about the only entertainment they have.

It looks like a lot of the local people watch the action there that day The stands looked full as well as the parking lots across on the other sides of the stands Where is that track and is it at the local fairgrounds?

And there is a Car Show / Flea Market there this Sunday
Actually the show can bee pretty big depending on weather this time of year

Boy..spent a ton of time there as a kid. My Grandfather used to own a small town dealership in the neighboring town of Bonduel. Family still owns a lake lot on Shawano Lake. Good times. As a kid, we never did get to go to the races, but I do remember it being a popular place. Looking at the flyer...the guy judging the car show is actually running his Rod Shop in my Grandfather's old shop! The world is full circle.
