I wish we could get one, it would actually be as practical as a 700 horsepower vehicle can be, 8700# of towing capacity isn’t anything to sneeze at with its other capabilities.

One year because that's all they'll need to build for the small amount of buyers. Trackhawks are already piling up.

Well, not going to argue too much. The Trackhawks sold quite well their intro year. So well enough it dropped the buy in prices of regular used jeep srt's considerably. I was tracking prices for 2 years and waiting to find the one I wanted, and it had to be a 14 and after. The year they dropped we went around the Philly area looking at the many used examples until one dealership we stumbled upon that had a new Trackhawk. My family and I immediately fell in love with everything about it, then in a brief moment of clarity, I tried to justify the non negotiable sticker price of $109k. No. The Durangos are equally attractive with some more room, but Dodge needs to bring back the pricing formula they had in 2015 to kill it again.

And I'm sure, just like the Trackhawks, the Durango's values will diminish rapidly once the used ones start to hit the market within the same year they are released.

Yes, just what everybody asked for: another 700 hp machine to haul the Soccer team around in. rolleyes

700hp Regular Cab 2wd Short box with a six speed? Nah, screw that, we'll put the engine in a 6000 pound four-door, four-wheel-drive so it doesn't embarrass itself turning 35 inch tires while trying to keep up with a Ford Fusion.

Waste of a good engine, what's next? Maybe a dump truck or a 3500 mega cab dually with hellcat power? Idiots.

Dont make yourself look like any more of a jack wagon. Just look back, let's say 5 years, to present. Just about all manufacturers have a variant of real sport type suvs, with 500 + hp. This IS what people are really starting to gravitate towards. I loved my sedans and rear wheel drive v8's , and I wrestled these cars for a long time, every day, and in inclement weather. Got tired of it and bought a 4wheel drive a few years back, best move I personally have made, transportation wise. I also got tired of seasonal cars and having to procure room for another set of tires based on the weather.

Would I rather have a sedan that checked all my "musts", yes I would, but strangely, these sedans are not being made anymore, so this is what we are left with.

Winter in CA and FL are slightly different than say PA, NY, NEW ENGLAND. I'm sure that's the reasoning behind "wasting these engines" in suv?

Pardon me while I show my age:

I seem to recall a Van Halen music video that ended with young Dave being picked up after school by less young Dave in a T bucket and doing a smokey burnout in front of the school. Cool as doing one in 4wd may be, I just can't imagine it. I mean racing stripes AND a "baby on board" sign in the back window?

Another 6 digit mall crawler. Gee, thanks.

We have a 18 Durango R/T and love it. I told my wife about the HellCat option for next year and she immediately started doing the math..no we can't buy one lol.

You ain't that old dude. And "cool /rad/ bodacious 35 years ago, uhmm, not the same as today, if even recognized( man I love the opening of that song), but there is a slew of people including maybe myself that want the total family hauler package and raise some Caine when they are alone, without having the car collection. A lot of people in our age demographic and older, quite honestly, are getting really a$$hurt about having a 4500 or 5000 lb conker wipe the floor with their high dollar resto or car that looks the part. I'm just into speed reliability, and style at this point in my life, your all results may vary.

Let's try a d be more Mopar and show our support. We are kicking butt guys
