Raced a Mercedes AMG GT Roadster Yesterday...

.............with my 2016 Scat Pack Shaker Challenger. He came out of the hole racing - I got into it after he got the jump on me. I could not gain on him. FAST car for sure.

The Charger has better aero

They are a lot of car and performance for the price... I rode in a 2015 AMG GTS at a track day. It had 500miles on the odo. We hit 130 before the end of a 3/8 mile straight, into a tight left turn. Felt like the driver was going to kill us.. but it turns out he was just busy getting the fastest lap of the day.

I had one jump on the freeway on ramp after me one day when I had the Coronet out. We went neck and neck for a bit before it was time to shut down. My car is 3900 lbs with 580 hp and the AMG is roughly the same depending on the engine option. They'll run high 11's off the showroom floor so they are faster than most musclecars ever were.

Looking at the specs on a convertible - they say the curb weight is around 4200 pounds. I thought it would be closer to 3600.

Mercedes cars are usually heavy. They don't spare anything when they build those.
