They won't cover your new Hellcat? Or maybe you let them put that thing on your car and they found out how your driving it...

The company offering that discount is enough to make me run away. Gene

Cheap insurance is generally crap insurance, but I was on the collision-repair side much of my career.
Companies like Allstate, Farmers, GEICO and some others were only interested in the cheapest, junk-parts, shortcut hack repairs they could force onto the customer.
I did have one Allstate adjuster who'd be reasonable, but he had actual repair knowledge, which is extremely rare these days.
My daily stuff & trucks have been insured with MetLife for many years, excellent service and not expensive.
They & Hagerty were always good to deal with on customer vehicles.

They make me laugh, and I suspect she is one of the longest running well viewed advertisement characters on TV?

Surprised she has never(?) been interviewed on a late night talk show, in or out of character..

And I dropped Progressive after 10 years last year, after they raised my rates nearly 300%, for two accidents, one I wasn't even in vehicle, with no charges against me or my driver, and at no apparent fault.

But I'll still watch their TV silliness. laugh2

Flo is the most successful marketing campaign thus far in the current millennium. She and her "co-workers" still test off the charts, even after 12 years. In fact, that's why you see more commercials with other characters, her "co-workers." It reduces the direct exposure of Flo, which will lengthen the life of the ad campaign. Also, despite the "I won't buy insurance from them because of Flo" crowd, we seem to be doing just fine. We are crushing State Farm, Geico, etc. in profitability and growth, while increasing retention of current customers. laugh2

Stephanie Courtney's Flo contract is very lucrative. In fact, her personal appearance fee in her contract is so high that most of our business units don't actually have her do appearances at their units' company events, because her appearance fee would come out of that unit's budget.

As far as interviews and such, she takes acting roles, comedy gigs (she's a stand-up comedienne), etc., but any appearances as Flo have to be approved by Prog, since we own the character, and our marketing people are very, very selective about that.

I met Flo out of character at the Grand National Roadster show in the late 2000's, she had a short skirt on and high heels and I said something about her walking strangely and she looked at me and said, you are right, been in these damn shoes all day and proceeds to take them off and ran over to me and and gave me a hug and said thanks! laugh2

Crazy restrictions on those safe driver programs that use things you plug into ports.

I've met her a few times at company events, and she's always been extremely nice and personable.

Its been a few months, but IIRC my Allstate agent told me it monitored such things as rapid acceleration, speeds over 80, hard braking, etc.

Not sure if it also monitors lateral motions.

You know, the fun stuff.

Like I said, it has been a while.

BTW, I declined, my next renewal, just in, has gone up about $45 per month, got to make up for the $45 rebates they sent me the last 2 or 3 months.

This makes my current rate $3600/year, for a 71 year old single man, with a v6 Ram, a V6 Mustang convertible, and a 1985 D100 that has not left the yard in over a year.

Still working (6 mile commute) and a clean CDLA.

My old agent's son just recently took over the agency ...

Good luck to you! We still have Nationwide after all these years. Our local agent also carries Snake Farm and Flotection. Nationwide was a better deal for us. After seeing How Snake Farm and Flogressive treated people in a personal injury accident,I would not have either one. They both really suck! catfight

Flo's not going anywhere, as I already mentioned above. The Mara character is intentionally not likeable, and would never be the "face" of a brand. But hey, what do I know? I can only go off of what our Chief Marketing Officer says, and from what I learned as a marketing major in college.
