My Grandpa was born near Sabetha , Ks .. spent a little time around Beatrice , Neb .. rode a Harley all over the middle of fly over country ( I have some pics of that too ) found my Grandma at a dance hall way back when and settled in South Dakota.

He was a blacksmith , he could and did build anything for local farmers , the building in the rear of the picture of Dale was built by locals when his other shop burnt down, and they did it fast ..they so needed a person to repair things they all chipped in

It still stands today

Dales 1st Mopar was a 56 Fury , he still has it

This was my country school field trip to a local packing plant , I think it was about 1964

Lost a couple kids in the picture over the years , I think my mom is the only adult still alive in the picture

My great grandfather (Gordon Jacobs) 1901. Apparently they mislabeled the pic and he is the one seated on the right. His brother is the one they tagged (or so I've been told).

So I'll pay homage to my dad. He enlisted right after Pearl Harbor and served in the Pacific in the navy, flew in a B-26 squadron. I don't know when this posed pic was taken during the War or just after. If anybody knows the model, I'd be curious to find out.
The car pic looks like my dad was auditioning for a Bonnie and Clyde movie eek

First photo is of my grandfather Frank (my dad's dad) when he was starting his own cab company in Detroit. Second photo is of my dad in the Navy - at Great Lakes Naval Training Station in Chicago - 1946 - he enlisted because the draft was still on.

Here is one of my dad, uncle, and grandparents. Not sure what year, but guessing around the time they immigrated to the US from Romania. My dad is on the left and was born in 1952.
