My son is heading out from Phoenix to Dallas to pickup my grandson. I think he’s going to go I-40 east then cut south once he’s in Texas. Just wonder if anyone has traveled that route lately. Interested in eating places, fuel etc. I was going to ride along but decided that I didn’t want to run the risk. My wife is high risk and I don’t want to bring something back.
FYI. When he gets back he and my grandson will self quarrenteen for 14 days.

Been too long for me to recall specific stops, but then again we were usually doing that leg banzai-style.
I don't recall any difficulty with finding fuel or food, but the rigs we used carried anywhere from 34 - 100 gallons.
I think as long as they have gloves & wipes for gas stops & such, they should be OK.
I'd probably bring a mask or a cowboy/outlaw scarf, too.
Cleaning the car - handles & interior - would also be a good idea.

He’s meeting them in Demming, NM. About a 6 hour drive for him.
