WooHoo got laid off today

WooHoo got laid off today - 03/25/20 08:10 PM

Well I've taken a staycation until they make their mind up at work and I got the call today that I'm laid off until the customers start brings their cars back in. I haven't been laid off since 1981 so this is new territory for me but I'm kind off looking forward to it.
We have gone from about 80 appointments per day down to less than 20 and that wont feed six flat rate techs and 2 hourly diag techs. Plus I'm high risk being 57 and a diabetic with asthma pulling a dash out and replacing airbags. So if the new unemployment packages I should do pretty good at least better than making 3-5 hours a day.

Does your company have under 500 employees?

Because if so, with todays legislation passed?, the company will be reimbursed for your wages for up to 4? months if they keep you on the payrol.

Not sure how that works out if paid by the job, I am sure there is some fine print somewhere. Besides Unemployment will be full salary also up to a decent amount, like $60K? annual for 39 weeks.

I am not well versed on the bill, seems most who voted for it haven't read it entirely either.

Stay tuned.

lol. it's not bernie. it's....

But Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Tim Scott (R-S.C.), Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) and Rick Scott (R-Fla.) are opposing speedy consideration of the measure over concerns it would encourage employees to be laid off instead of working.
