And why not? confused I guess when air was "free" they didn't try to make it so tough to put air in your tires before your time (re.$$$$) ran out. Now with the pay for air (not complaining about paying for it) in order to get all of your tires filled correctly you need to remove all of your valve stem caps and make sure you're ready to go before your time runs out.......because that's what they are hoping for so you have to spend more money. Back in the day you just dialed in what you needed for those high pressure bias plies, brought your own tire pressure gauge and checked the dial in pressure, adjusted the pump dial to match your tire pressure gauge and then hit the other three......and still had time to check the trunk spare to make sure that was okay too. AND IT WAS FREE!! Okay I'm feeling a little better, dumb rant, but feeling better none the less laugh2

I can see why your thinking about a new one, plenty of originals for stupid prices in need of complete restoration on Feebay.

Fortunately around here Quick Check and Wawa convenience stores that pump gas have free air pumps - set it right to the pressure you want and pump away up

Up until about 10 years ago you could still buy them new.
Prices are thru the roof for them.
