Random Gator Grain find...... - 01/21/20 12:39 AM

I spotted this belt in the basement of a very old house today. (the demolition begins in the morning)

Gator Grain, genuine leather!

The buckle & rivets are toast, but it is more than long enough to still fit me after some reconditioning & new metal parts. :-)

Cool find. We have them here still intact swimming.
They are a,strange thing when you shoot them they still breathe in and out way after dead.
My buddy Crazy Ronnie shot one and it was a,14 llus foot one. We put in on a, table to cut it up an it was still taking in and out its lungs.

So, is a basement find one better than a barn find ? laugh2

Maybe you need to leave the metal bits crusty, like the guys that don't even clean the crap off the cars they find...

Now, ya need the matching shoes !

i'm really coRnfused now......... basement, barn, or swamp find. which is the best, and why ?
or does the swamp find version give a guy the benefit of "matching" luggage and accessories, making it the better "bite" for the bang ? biggrin

Real gator skin.., cool..

Meanwhile, thinking of the vinyl kind ..is this also Gator Grain? ..always been curious since I spotted this unusual vinyl pattern on a '69 Fury, local salvage yard..
