It is such a shame he left us so early in life. He was truly a good guy. I went through some things recently but I am lucky enough to be still kicking and I am grateful for that.

Whoa, they quoted what I put on his decal—"Stu never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't made yet"! How cool is that?! up

Very cool!

I like that Mopar was mentioned, obviously it was a big important part of his life.

“Buri Buri Elementary”. Sounds like a tropical disease!

59, much too young. The lady first on the list of obituaries was 101 years old!

We all can only hope for such a nice summary of our lives. To work at a physical job such as installing garage doors, and with the same company, for 37 years, speaks volumes about the man! Both so rare now!!! Cheers to a life well done Stu!!!

In case the obit gets lost.............

A true one of a kind, Stuart Allen Harmon sadly passed away last year on the 17th of November at the age of 59 years old. He was born in San Francisco on August 18th, 1960 to Otto Amos and Rose Marie (Gorgone) Harmon. Raised in South San Francisco, Stu attended Buri Buri Elementary, Alta Loma Middle School, and graduated from El Camino High School class of 1978. He found his love of motorcycles, vans, and most importantly what Mopar meant to him while growing up in the 70’s. Stu never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t made yet. He truly touched many lives, was loved by all, and will be missed greatly.
At the early age of eighteen years he began working for a local Garage door company. A short time after he moved to Alert Door Services, Inc. where he worked faithfully for nearly thirty seven years installing over eight thousand garage doors and fixing many others. He was a hard worker, rarely missed a day of work, and was always prompt.
In his off time Stu was a prominent Member of The Golden Gate Street Machines Unlimited where he held a spot on the Board of Directors for over ten years. Stu was the founder and president of the Mid-Peninsula Muscle Car Club with over two thousand members spread out across the World. Stu was a loyal and active member of multiple online forums such as Moparts.com and The Mopar Mailing List.
If you ever met Stu outside of work you probably saw him with one of three things with him a camera, barbeque tongs, or a cold beverage. He was always ready to snap a good photo, light up the grill, or to hand you an ice cold drink. Stu was an all-around entertainer, whether you were hanging out in the “Man Cave” better known as the South City Social Club or at a Car Show with his complete Stu Harmon set up that no one could beat! There are many reasons why Stu was so undeniably funny with such a charismatic personality and his quick wit. He loved to host both family and friends, he was always prepared and willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, and could always be counted on for garage door advice.
Stuart was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He is survived by his beloved wife Sally Ann Harmon; his daughters...............

(I omitted the different family members).

I am so thankful that I got to meet Stu at his house and party in the man cave with my wife then went to a local car show the next day and go to see him in action. I feel very privileged. He will forever be missed... angel

Those of us close enough to spend time with him are fortunate. The group also made room for my son after his divorce and move to South City. This is Alan talking to one of Stu's daughters. Sally also has a sense of humor. Deanna was about 16 at the time and Alan was in his late 20s. Sally's friends were asking who the guy on the motorcycle was. Sally said that was her new boyfriend. The other moms were going to give him an attitude adjustment...all in good fun...

Thanks for sharing that Pacnorth...I never met Stu in person either, just chatting with him a couple times here on Moparts.
He lived a good life, according to the obit...albeit way too short. My condolences to his wife, daughter's and family....Rest easy Stu. angel

Wow! I had no idea.

I don't visit as often as I used to but was just thinking about Stu the other day. I had sent him a beer flag I got then I was living in Japan and had the one just like it in my living room.

Sad to hear.
