Secret Santa - The List Is Done

I was on the tool truck the other day and he asked me if I need a SS gift this year and I asked him to put something together so if anybody else is ready lets start a list

Are you volunteering?

Larry, the way it works is that someone volunteers to be the organizer. Then everyone who wants to participate sends in their name and address to the organizer via PM. Then the organizer tells each person secretly who their victim..um, I mean beneficiary is. Then everyone researches the persons posts to figure out what to send them, then send them a gift, usually anonymously. After Christmas, you post what you got. Unless you are an EOW (early opening weenie) then you show before Christmas. Lots of fun, I'm in.

You can search on past years SS threads for ideas.

Thanks Tom for stepping up and doing this. I was worried about SS this year. I was going to post a tread earlier and volunteer to run it again but with all going on about Stu I wasn't sure about starting this. Then my computer crashed and has been down for almost two weeks and I have only had very limited access to internet. Finally got it going tonight

Tom.....I sent you a PM, but not sure if it went because it acted squirrely. Let me know if you got it.

So to start you need to send Tom a PM with your Name and Address, T-shirt size or if you even want a T-shirt. Cars you own or are into. Any other suggestion you might have to help your Secret Santa know what to get you. Then Tom will put all the name together, randomize them and send your victim/recipients info to you. Then you stalk them a bit, look at old posts and the such to see what might be a good fit for them. Spend at least $25 on a gift or gifts, be creative. But know that you may only get a gift worth $25. Gifts in past years have been some really cool stuff to a blow up Daisy Duke doll to giant Granny panties. Ship your gift out anonymously in time for it to get there before Christmas and wait to get yours. Now you have to wait till Christmas day to open your gift because if you don't you will forever be ridiculed as being a EOW (early open weennie). Once you have opened your gift post pictures of what you got. If you get underwear you have to model it.......NO PLEASE DON'T!!!!!!!!!! Just have fun with it. I have been doing this for the last 7-8 years and it is the highlight of my Christmas.

Shopping not done yet because we don't know who to buy for yet. This cut off date will make sure there are no EOW's

no EOS's this year for SURE !

All I can say is that this is a "hint" of the type of present my person may have show up. Who knows how much of this is going to make the trip . . .

What an interesting devise for storing your bananas in. Would provide good air flow around the bananas to keep them from rotting.

I have one gift, and going shopping today for another. I am having a terrible time trying to find that gag gift I wanted to get....simply because it's out of season! I will be mailing early next week!

Actually package went out today. Mail is behind. Sent mine priority and won’t reach my victim until next Friday. Mail person said anything out after Monday may not be received before Christmas.

Package is all packed and ready to send out tomorrow!

Secret Santa gift sent this morning!

The last piece of my recipients gift showed up today. All boxed up and ready to be shipped their way. Will go out tomorrow.

I had an unexpected business trip and I have been traveling the last 5 days. I got to experience the Mid West snow and ice storms first hand but arrived home late last night. I will be mailing my targets package out today. It may miss Xmas delivery, but it is well worth the wait.

Received and shipped. Now we wait...

The package was sent today. Should be to my recipient on time to give them a chance to be an Early Open Weenie.

Wow, USPS stated my shipment will make it to some strange state by Saturday! That's 1,000,000 miles from here! I will keep track of its progress!

Shipped out a package Thursday...

I've received two Moparts SS packages so far. Both are under the tree.

I received my package yesterday. Under the tree unopened.

GEEZE ! number THREE showed up yesterday ! i can't believe it ! SS must be thinking i was good all year ?
next to the tree it went next to the other two.

My gifts from SS are under the tree.....NO EOW here! The package was delivered on Thursday, and thankfully the porch pirates are blinder than I am! I did not see it until today, and if my SS was watching and wondering WTH?.....sorry for the late arrival post! I opened the clearly marked outer box that said no EOW status would be given because packages inside were wrapped, and found 2 nicely wrapped gifts. I got so engrossed in reading the Rural King flyers SS used for stuffing.....that I almost missed gift # 3 hidden underneath! I promise to not be an EOW....especially since my SS lives close enough to come repossess my gifts if I do....lol. Thanks SS!

A nice looking box just showed up in the mail. I promise I won't even as much as shake it to see what's inside, no EOW here!

Well tracking data shows my package is 72.6 miles from the targets door. It should arrive by Monday.

Mine came a couple days ago... In a big box marked do not open until Christmas.. I have not opened it. however it is sitting on the floor as I haven't even put a tree up this year, lol. My kids are going to be mad when they come over Tuesday, lol. Kevin

I received my box on Monday, and will open it later today.....

Opened my gift this morning to find a couple of Dodge truck Hot Wheels, A 1978 Dodge truck sign, and some Maple Bacon Onion Jam, Yummmmmm Bacon . Thanks SS. I will be enjoying the Jam with Breakfast here in just a few minutes.

Thanks Secret Santa! I got some garage signs, and the Roadrunner one is PERFECT! My 68 Roadrunner is B5 Blue. Got an awesome tee shirt, a book to log my F'ing passwords....lol, and some goodies to munch on. Last but not least....and I don't know HOW SS knew I wanted some, but he got me some GREAT Mopar ear gages! Sorry the pics are sideways.....I don't know how to fix them.

I have a mystery package that arrived the other day. I was afraid to open it in case it was unwrapped. I soon find out

Just popping in to say i love seeing all the gifts and that this is still going on. I started the first one so long ago I forgot when - 15 years ago maybe? I had to print out all the messages to set it up, no smartphones then haha. I think Stu was in on it from the start, as were members that we have lost over the years. If I scrolled the member's list enough I could find who I labeled the first EOW

I had pretty much figured it was you....lol. I'm quite sure my recipient figured me out too.....as I was afraid to not put a legit return address if something messed up with shipping. I knew the ear gage pic would get a laugh, is why I had my wife take it...lol. I'm figuring they are drawer or closet door knobs? I guess I could just read the tags!
