In 1970 was a white hockey stripe available on a Cuda with a white interior?

This topic has been discussed several times on the board. Black was the only color available for the 70 Hockey Stripe. Interior color is not relevant.
Sure would be nice looking though.

Absolutely correct. Through the years the aftermarket has started to offer many colors that were not really available in the Hockey Sticks. I have made custom ones in a wide variety of colors but I always try to make sure that the buyer knows anything but matte black in 1970 is not "correct."

I ordered a black hockey stick stripe from Perf Car Graphics and I received a glossy stripe. I had a conversation with the owner and he says all Cuda hockey sticks were glossy from the factory, he mentioned he has done tons of resaerch and has been in the business over 25 years ????
Matte or glossy ?
Which is it ?

I talked with Dave at ECS about this last week, that is why I posted the topic. Dave came across some literature that indicated there could have been a white stripe available. He was not 100% sure though. Maybe Dave could chime in on this???
He also indicated that the black one is NOT the high gloss that is currently available but it is NOT the flat black either. It should have more sheen to it than the matte black but not as much as the glossy.

I was told a late built '70 'Cuda could get white hockey stripe. Early build only black was available.
