Repro Red circle Dodge Dog dish caps?!? bad one??

Bit the bullet & ordered up a set of the reproduction dog dish caps for my new steel wheels going on.
Ordered them from Year One....believe it or not they were the cheapest with the 20% off code I had.

Took about a week to get them. Got them today & opened the box & found them nicely individually wrapped in bubble wrap & tissue paper.

Took out the first one & I was amazed! A nearly perfect SS reproduction piece! Dull stainless on the backside like he originals. Felt exactly as heavy as the originals. A very well made part. Ahh I was happy

Until I decided to "check the rest of them"

Second one I unwrapped was just as nice....got to the third one & I was like [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean]?!?! Right away you can see the backside was shiny....I unwrapped it & it felt like PLASTIC! WAAAY lighter than the other 3 & even shinier then them as well. Fratzog looks different as well....what the heck is this [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] cap I got???!?!?

Of course YO is closed when i got home....I hope they make this right!!!

BE & A is the supplier, it's their product. Don't be mad at Yearone. They are only a distributor. This is why nice original parts can still command high prices cause most repo stuff has many issues.....Sorry on the bad deal...

Not really "mad" at anyone yet. Im sure YO will do the right thing & send me another cap. I was assuming B/E & A was the only supplier but when I got one "plastic" cap I thought there might have been another?

How can they wrap up one different cap in a set & expect no one to notice or say anything for $300+ a set? Even for $30 a set?

Anyone else get a bad one (or 2 or 3)??

Years ago I watched a guy sort through a stack of them at a show. He only took 2 and then was promised that the other 2 would be hand picked to match the ones he had taken and shipped to him. He explained they were going on a high dollar resto, so he sorted out ones with "weak" stampings. So this has probably been an issue for awhile....
