1970 Challenger top on door molding clips

1970 Challenger top on door molding clips - 08/27/11 08:47 AM

Need help on finding clips for moldings top on doors,even called SE-molding.Anyone repop these?
I sent a email to Tom on R/T Specialties,but no
reply so far.Any help appreciated,Thanks

The original clips snapped in & were very difficult to remove without breaking the tabs.. When I had an R/T SE I put my trim back on using the much more commonly available clips that use a nut on the back side... Getting the nuts started was tricky but certainly not impossible..

The clip design I'm referring to is shown in the ad below but they are to big...

Thanks 1_WILD_RT.I had something similar in my mind too but as you mention it can be tricky to
get the nut to take threads.But it should be easyer when the door is empty.

No wonder that you have not got reply from Tom while you are an overseas customer. I've heard several times that he's not making business with overseas Mopar fellows.

Those clips can be also obtained elsewhere like the two members here kindly mentioned.
