Can anybody please tell me the numbers on their original 1970 washer pump from an a-body. I would greatly appreciate it.

The metal motor cover is too badly rusted to see if there where any numbers on it, but stamped in black in the plastic pump tab is the following:
2771975-440037B
0881
may 71 build date. It does say "1975" in the number but im pretty sure thats just a coincidence because I looked on another off of a 73 a body and it looked to have the same 1975 number (rest of numbers where illegible)
my guess would be that the second row of 4 numbers is the build date?

According to the 70-71 parts book all bodies used part #2809013.....the casting number on the pump may be different but all body styles used the same pump. Check an E-Body or B-Body if you can and see if they are the same

my 73 A and 71 A are the same numbers save for the second row of 4 numbers. The bottle itself reads Assy' # 2771948 despite it saying 2771975 on both of them.
70/ 71 e body pump reads
277197(5)?
0493
72 up e body reads
3431895 440378
2342
also, the 72 up E body pumps have the hose mount to the side, whereas my others exit downwards of the pump unit
The point of this discussion is 70 a bodies, so essentially I think all A's are the same except for the second row numbers which could be a date stamp thing. thats my guess
also i got wondering... I hope we arent talking about the foot pumps...
