E-Brake Grommet Where to Find - 02/27/11 01:32 PM

Looking to replace the Grommet on the E-Brake cable where it mounts to the mechanism. (see attached photo)

Anyone know where to find a new one ?

Ok...Here it goes....this one's a freebie..

I have dozens of old firewall insulation "nails" kicking around, but shinny new ones will work too...

Take a drill with a bit the same size as the E Brake rod...
Drill out the open end of the firewall nail just a little, you don't have to go far...then just cut off the head of the nail....

Remove the E Brake handle, slip it in place and voila

I couldn't find a good picture of it...but you get the idea...

i used one of these from a value hardware store. plastic hole plug that i drilled out.
