Anyone ever replace a C-Body floor pan?

65-68 - the whole front pan - it looks like it goes up and becomes part of the firewall and looks like the subframe mounting boxes are attached to it as well. Any thoughts or ideas on how to do this are appreciated.

Looks like a circular saw?

Sorry, couldn't resist...

But seriously...
I'm working on a 70, but if you post some pictures of what you're fixing I'm sure I can point you in the right direction.

Rick,

Thanks for the reply. I also posted on the C-body Dry Dock with pictures:

First set of pics are my donor car floors, second set is the vehicle in need. Already received a a lot of great replies. I'm open to any ideas to swap the floors out and save the car.

Thanks

Pat

When I went to do some rocker panel repair on my 66 Fury, I was shocked to see it how they attached the floor pan to the rocker. I thought it only could be adhesive but I said nah - no way - they hadn't started dong that till much later, but shure enough, someone chimed in and said Yah, it's adhesive.

There are a couple of ways to do the install.Proper way is to gut the whole car...dash,heater box etc etc.Other way is to trim the pan lower down so you don't have to pull dash etc.We have done several C's both ways. When you remove the donor pan leave the seat braces attached.....less welding. If you go this route make sure the underdash area is well protected..underdash fires are nasty.65 to 68 pans will interchange but the 65 pan is quite a bit different shape wise to 68.This pan went into a 67 Monaco Fastop.

Wow, looks like a department store would fit in there. I would be scared of getting it out of square, and never being able to recover.
