Need paint/body shop in Indiana/Illinois-suburbs

Need paint/body shop in Indiana/Illinois-suburbs - 11/16/10 12:57 AM

Decided to farm out some body/paint work on the Cuda, and need a reputable shop in Indiana (Northwest) or Illinois. I was going to call Boone County Auto in Belividere as Ive seen their work, but they are almost 2 hrs from me. Anyone else know of any other shops and or people?

They are a reputable MOPAR shop that does quality work and they are a member of this board. They are not far from Chicago and can do whatever you need done, from just bodywork and paint to full restorations.

Heres one I've seen in magazines, closer to you in New Lenox, I've been thinking about checking them out when i'm ready to bring the demon in for paint. Let me know on who you go with. Mike

You might want to PM member "dsd70bee" about his experience with the shop above. I've never used them and when I was originally looking could not get them to give me a quote. Couldn't of been happier with with my decision to go with Bluestar.

Scott, Thanks for the recommendation. As Scott said, we are just outside of Chicago and do many jobs from the Chicago area.

Well i think it said in their "About us" that they wont give a price until its striped of paint to see whats going to be involved. I believe thats what most good shops are going to say, I've seen blue star work and its good too.

My car was a stripped and blasted shell at the time. I'm only 2-3 miles away from Rt.66 Motorsports.

But again I havent had anything done by them. But I would recomend with any shop you consider you should talk to previous customers...good or bad

Knowing the guys from Bluestar for over 10 years, and seeing numerous jobs from them, I highly recommend them. They do it right and are honest!

No! I was pretty persistant at the time because the car was in bare metal. I was confused as well! But this was some time ago maybe things have changed.

But I would still PM dsd70bee about his experience. I know he had work done at Rt66 Motorsports.

I totally forgot about BlueStar! I'm a member of ChicagoLand Mopar (CMC) and have seen their work at the Belvidere show in years past. I'll give em a call and see what happens. Much thanks again!!

Check with Dave Harada, Lowell body shop a visit.
He is a Mopar guy , did some work for me and I would go back to him anytime.
