Pull off those pesky wiper arms - 10/13/10 03:48 PM

Hey gang..
Ok,,, anyone have a source or experience with taking off the wiper arms on our beloved B-bodies WITHOUT messing up the paint on the cowl? I want to replace one of the arms on my Daytona with a better one....

Thanks in advance...

We would just use a pry bar with a thick towel underneath

I bought this tool about a year ago, but haven't used it yet.

I would still use a towel though....

We bought the tool from E-Bay, and the arms pop right off..
No paint scuffs..

Wiper Arm Tool

It holds the pivot part of the arm against the spring tension so it doesn't snap-slap the paint as the arm is taken off.

This is the style I have... works nice with no danger. Still a good idea to put down a layer or three of masking tape and lay out a towel.

Thanks all.. I just ordered the Snap-On part from a friend of mine from church who's a Snap-On dealer...
