Tire serial number info.

I have what I was told was an orginial spare from the 1st owner of the car,Does anyone know where or how to decode a Goodyear Polyglas tire serial number.... YLDB5KJ1402....Any help would be GREAT.

You had me shaking my head "YL" is Nokian Tyre PLC - Nokia Findland.

.... but "CY" (first two letters) is McCreary Tire & Rubber Co. - they are the current manufacturers of the "reproduction" Goodyear Polyglas tires.

The last four digits is the date of the tire WW/YY, which date it to the 14th week of 2002.

Here are 4 reproductions that FEDEX brought to my front door today!!

& the DOT number - 0808 = 8th week of 2008

OK That's what I was looking for,here's a better pic,I looked at it a couple of times and missed the first "C"...Sorry And the last number are 1402,so that's the 14th week of 2002??

Yes,the tires on it now are Coker repo.RWL

Yes, all of the Goodyear reproductions are being made in the old McCreary faculity. The only Bias tire manuifacturing faculity in the United States.
