As long as the date preceeds your engine assembly date it would be considered OK. Most parts on an A12 preceed the EAD by 1-4 wks or so. If you do not have the original block, your K- frame will have a date code on it that has proven to be very close to or the same as the EAD on many A12's. Keep in mind that on the A12 cars, the assembly date was not necessarily before the SPD on your fender tag. You've got to look for other clues to the production date...and the K-frame is one, the door panels are also usually within a few days of the actual production date.

Are these dates cast onto the mainfolds somewhere also???

The part numbers you listed are correct. The casting date codes normally appear on the manifold as well. Generally near the part number.

see the date casting on the left *2 19 69* these would probably fall right in line for your car, maybe to early but I need them for my 4/26 A12

thanks for all your help...basically look for the casting numbers with a date stamp a month or so ahead of the 3/29..correct??

Yes, but keep in mind , all A12 cars carry an SPD of either 3/29 or 4/26 . The A12 registry should help you nail it down closer based on your sequential number (last 6 digits of your VIN).
Another simular example, all Superbirds carry a B30 (Nov 30 spd, but were built between October and December).

Not for an A12! You need to use the engine assembly date stamped on the top pad to the right side of the distributor looking from the front. It's next to the front of the driver's side cylinder head. It is a 2 or 3 digit number such as indicating the month and day the engine was assembled. For example, mine is a 426 SPD on the fender tag but the engine is 6 3. All my original date coded parts preceed 6/3/69 but are mostly dated after 4/26/69. It will be the same on your car. If you do not have the original block, look for the date code in the front of and in the middle of your k frame. That is a close date to when your real production date was. Your date codes should be before that date by 1-4 weeks or sometimes even earlier.

If the motor is not orignal who cares about dates on manifolds? Either it's number matching or not. Close enough is only in horseshoes.

My 4/26 car has an engine assembly date of 3/19, my exhaust manifolds are dated in february.
