Pretty interesting... I also have the Advance Shipping Notice (same as window sticker info) this order number is after mine, and my ship date on my copy is 5-22. (car was not shipped until 6-17-69 per carrier notice I have) So it is possible to be the date. However the number next to it I believe is the shipping route. Mine is A50 and gives a description after it. As for the other set of numbers I feel are dealer related. I have a set of numbers on my notice labeled REG. (region?) 41 and then Sold to Dealer No. 63928 This number is tied to the order form, where the car was ordered by the dealer on 3-12-69. Hope this helps.

Jason, cool stuff that you have the Advance Shipping Notice. So from what you are saying, on the window sticker Tony posted, the 06355 could be the Dealership number? That would make more sense than the body in white numbers like I thought.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I done the same thing when I first got my paperwork from the dealer, I thought a few numbers would cross to the fender tag, in the upper left/middle area but no luck. Only the S.O. NO. 426-AR-949611 which is build date 426 and the order number.

I have a copy of the original window sticker to my old black car (#20). It had an EAD of 4 26. The SO No is 948560. The dealer numbers at the top are 63270 32 and the bottom numbers are 0423 and A54. I don't think the 0423 is the ship date? It was shipped to SJ Reynolds in Poughkeepsie, NY and was picked up the day it arrived on 5/7 or 5/9 before they could wash it or slap a dealers sticker on the deck lid. This is according to what the the original owner told me when I bought the car from him in Feb, 1972. I don't have the original window sticker for my A4 but I do have the original bill of sale. It is very similar to the window sticker except it shows the dealer discount and the credit for a deposit. It is signed by the owner of the dealership (A.R. Hull in Staunton, VA) and the notary. S.O. No. 949797 and it has an EAD of 6 3 It was picked up by the buyer on 6/17. I wonder if the motor was installed and the car completed and running the same day it was assembled?? It looks like it took about two weeks after the engine was assembled for both of these examples before the car arrived at the dealer?

My EDA is 5-28, (shipping invoice 5-22) and was shipped 6-17. My k-frame date is 6-2 (latest date I found so far) my car was shipped and signed for the same day 6-17 and signed for by Bob Malcolm. I have orig. invoice where the car sold on 6-19. These cars never sat around once received from Chrysler.

I just checked and my K-frame date is 154 9 1 which I think makes it the same day as the EAD. The 4 was hard to read but is definitely a 4. My car was picked up on 6/17. I don't know if that was the same day it arrived at the dealer's or not?
