REPRO " H " WHEELS............WHEN ! ???? - 08/10/09 07:10 PM

Hi all, does anyone know what ever happened to that project or Paul, last I heard the wheel was done and looked great just an issue with the date coding that was two years ago....... would really love an update on that one, good or bad now that the Goodyears are available they sure would look great on a set of NEW " H " wheels.

Stop the endless whining of a part that will never be original parts for your car.

Fake is fake.

Endless whining ? just wanted an update, cheeezzz! what crawled up your shorts. I don't care if they're fake..... as long as they're new and look right, not interested in spending hours & $$$$$ redoing mismatched rough rims.

These would be great for a lot of Hemi and Six Pack cars. Impossible to find any 15 X 6" or 15 X 6 1/2" steel wheels around here except ones that are rusted like crazy.

Hello Buzz,

Heres the rundown on the H wheels we have come to the point of placing the order with the wheel company but the minimum order at this point is 4000 wheels. We had a deal set up with Mopar to house and poss. sell wheels through there dealerships and because of the stautus of Mopar at this point we are not ready to place the order, we dont want to get into a We owe you situation and we dont want to put the order in for 4000 wheels at this point, we havent given up on producing the wheels but were going to hold off on the order until we feel more confident.

Hope this help you with the direction of your project, Thanks Paul

Thanks for the lowdown Paul, hope all turns out O.K at Mopar so they can carry the wheels....I guess we just wait and see. Good luck with the project.

Thanks again for the update.

4000 is a lot o' wheels but I could sure use a set. Maybe you can start taking no money down wait list pre-orders just to get the 'wheel' rolling so you can see the interested numbers.

Paul - I need 2 sets of 4 per set. That leaves you 997 sets to go.

Come on guys let Paul know you need them and are willing to commit to buy a set. It only takes 1000 car owners to make the 4000 wheel number. Let Paul know so we can get the wheels rolling. .!!!

nice excuse 2 yrs after the fact.4000 wheels when only need 100 at the most then all the whining because they cost 500.00. remember the please make the red line tires for our cars for 10 yrs then when they do all you hear is the crying about price. and don't forget the dealer mark up. 4000 wheels, are you for real?

Aparently you have never had anyone tool up to make a production run for you. I wouldn't doubt that if they only made 100 wheels the production cost would be in the $400 - $600 range per wheel. Just a guess, but from doing things in our business, it takes large quantities to get the price down to "reasonable". Oh I forgot, what about Ma Mopar's cut from the deal also?

How does Chrysler get involved? Don't put any part numbers or Chrysler related markings on the wheels and you can bypass Chrysler.
When you start stamping part numbers and date codes that are before the actual date of manufacture, then you are counterfeiting the original high dollar wheels. What safeguards are in place to prevent someone from selling the as originals?

I would never get involved with Chrysler. Talk to Mike @ BEA aka HEMICUDA, and get his experience with Chrysler.

Sounds like your cars are all completely original including the air in the tires.

Must be nice.

No air in mine, they are just wheels only and the whining is not just on this board.
