Close enough that the hubcaps I got from Mike at BEA fit great.

The only problem is the color is wrong but a quick scuffing of the powder coating and a painting and they are

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but one of the few real bad issues I've had were with my steel wheels;

- on January 5th, 2007, I ordered a set of four Wheel Vintiques steel wheels through Summit racing. I paid for them, had them shipped to Canada where I got to pay the shipping and duty, then I sent them straight to my bodyshop to have them painted to match the car. I then took them to my tire shop and had my tires mounted and balanced where they told me that 3 of the 4 rims were bent, one severely. These had never been out of the box until they were painted and the boxes showed no damage whatsoever.

I sent an e-mail (which was acknowledged as recieved and that I'd recieve a reply within 24 hours) and never did get a response from Summit.

....I'm not really satisfied with my purchase.

Unless your shooting for a custom offset or diameter why not just buy a set of original wheels?

Kinda hard to do after you've painted them!

Nope; never received a response offering a credit if I sent them back, plus I had $800.00 in these wheels by then so I wasn't in a hurry to spend another $100 - $200 to ship the damn things back to get a $380.00 credit.......and that's IF they'd take them after they'd been painted, had tires mounted, weights installed, etc. etc. I decided to wait until the car is done and then get it up to 120mph and see what happens.....

You won't notice much till you get over 150...
Did you put em on something and spin em by hand to see if you can see em bent? If you can see it, then I would call Summit and insist on a call tag be sent to you for pickup. They will pay the shipping if they are really bent.
BTW I have a cool dial indicator with a roller wheel mounted on it. It's made for checking truck tire runout/out of round. Most are when new, I have tire lathe that I use to true tires.
Anyway paint or no paint I'd make em take em back if they were really bent when you recieved them. That's unreal if it's a fact. No way would I keep em even if I had to take a trip to Akron Oh. Good luck with em, wish I could check em out for you.

No, I took the tire shops word for it (well that and the fact there are multiple weights on the wheels to balance). I could put them on the front rotor and spin 'em just to see as the car is up on jack stands anyways right now.

Your setup sounds slick; if I had that, I'd love to check them and call with an accurate run out.

OTOH, if they're good up 'till 150, it'll be fine 'cause with the 4:10's, I'm never going to get there!
