What's the proper size and name of emblem nuts for installing these Barracuda emblems?
I want to make sure that the guy who bought them gets the correct type and size.

I believe they're called Self Threading Palnut Stamped Nuts.

Where do those go? Have asny of the originals? Aren't some of those impossible to find/discontinued?

Seems like everytime I go to Auveco to buy something its' discontinued.

I bet I get at least 5+ calls a day looking for body clips and specialty screws/nuts. It pulls me away from the machine where I'm actually producting stuff (as opposed to lighting cigars with $100 bills while pulling stuff out of Chinese boxes like everyone else smile - I KNOW, I chose STOOPID business model. Too late now). A business like that could only be a HOBBY cause you'd have tyo take a billion phone calls to sell $1-$2 parts.

I’ve had several barracudas and (KR~) 6027352 (Chry) would be the ones closest to original.

If I needed to know (and I've needed to, fairly recently), I'd put a dial caliper on the studs.

Should it have an open nut or an acorn? If it is supposed to be an acorn, is there any reason to care about proper appearance (this is the restoration area after all),
or will the fasteners be hidden from view like my 1969 GTX quarter panel emblems are so it doesn't matter what they look like as long as the emblem doesn't fall off?

The impossible to find one these days is the #10 tall acorn style as I've posted about recently.
Every 1969 Side marker reflector housing on every passenger car is held on with a fastener that nobody currently sells the exact part: Good times
Spec widely available on the internet: #10 is close to .190"-ish.

The smaller 1/8" acorn style is available from most repro vendors but nothing any larger.

The more generic open type are available from mc master, off ebay and many bulk suppliers and
if you want those there probably is no reason to buy from a Gucci repro parts vendor,
unless the desire is there to support them or combine the fasteners with another order.

I relayed the info to the guy that I sold the emblems to.
I told him that he should measure the stud size to be sure of the nut size.

He's happy with the emblems, but wanted to know what size and type of nut they used.
Since he now has the emblems I can't measure the stud size.
The inside of the stud would be hidden inside the front fender and the other is on the taillight panel.

Thanks for the replies. up
