Size of the screws that hold the incert into cuda hood - 07/02/23 01:47 PM

I been piece togeather a old rally cuda hood I bought pretty cheap while back
When bought it only had one bezel
So I have bought a bezel. And then bought a pair of fin incerts for those
So now I need some screws attach the incerts
The incerts have 2 screw holes and 2 studs(wich don't ever look to had any threads)
So where can I get what is needed to mount the incerts
Or what length and size(machine screw?) Would been used

Okay, I found the bag when I bought those well nuts and the note I put inside it. If you can't make out the label it says:
WELL NUT
FOR 5/16 HOLE
#8 - 32 UNC
ITEM NO. C23500
The note I put inside was for the screw size: Head diameter approximately 7/32. Length about 3/4. Threads 8 x 32.

Your other option could be to buy the reproductions by Tony's Parts, they're the 1970 style, and use Pal nuts. You obviously have to take the scoops off install his inserts.

Similar to '68 RR/GTX hood insert (engine call-out) screws, only longer.

Must be a new car, your profile shows only 1970 E bodies.
