water pump and crankshaft pulley stock colors - 09/24/22 07:12 PM

I'm not a restorer or show car guy, I've been a Mopar drag racer since 1964 and I had to learn how to do a lot of the work needed on my race car motors, tranny and rear ends and wiring and plumbing to compete and still be able to pay the rent and feed my family.
I build blueprint Mopar motors on the side to help my racing budget, I have two 440 motors to build for a local customer who bought two 440 Superbirds, one U code 4 speed car and one V code automatic car minus the motors and trannies on both, I think he is missing the trannies on both, but I am not sure about that: confused:
My question is what color type, gloss, semi-gloss or flat black were the pulleys on the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner pulleys on the 440 HP motors? He wants to be able to drive them anywhere without worries and then pass them on later to his two adult Sons. He says didn't buy them to flip or race them, just to enjoy having them and driving them and not take any criticism on them for not having the correct parts or paint on the engine parts
Thanks for the help on this; Cab

Looking at engines that are restored it appears that the pullies have some degree of shine to them, but not gloss black. Definitely not flat black.

I believe E-Booger said they were gloss black and dipped, not sprayed, which gave them a lower gloss.
