heater core source or repair?

heater core source or repair? - 07/23/22 01:53 AM

My 70 B-body Heater core seems to be leaking.. Unless there is another logical reason for occasional dripping from the heater box? Car does not have AC

I have searched some old threads on sources for heater cores No luck.

Any suggestions on where to get a Quality heater core? Or is a better option to have a rad. shop attempt a repair?

Thanks...

Beware,,,,the aftermkt cores have fit issues and usually the nipples are to short to protrude thru the firewall sufficient enough to attach the heater hoses

Thats why I have a few good oem cores on the shelf ,,,just in case

Agreed but...
Thats why I inserted the link specifically for the 4 Seasons heater core. I installed 1 in my 70RR and it matched the OE very closely for the fit and hose nipples length..

Just my $0.02... wink

I put one ( supposed to be a 4 seasons core from reviews Id received was the best option back then )
and the nipples were about 3/4" short to really get a good fit for the hoses I was comfortable with , ended up having the original recored locally.

This was about 5 or 6 years ago
