I’ve got one in my 70 charger. It makes more sense that that the copper tubes will last longer than the oem brass core. I may not be as efficient and put off as much heat, but how much heat do you really need in a classic car now days. It does fine in Texas.

Wish you had mentioned this a week ago.

I ended up buying a good used one for $100 ,,,at least its supposed to be good with no leaks

I had searched ebay several times and never had this one pop up,,,,,,,, till I searched old air products

Daughter's 69 Charger RT w/AC sprung a leak from the heater box so attempted to pull it. Unable to separate copper firewall pipe from box, so had to cut the pipe and hack up the box to remove it. Fortunately had complete AC box out of 70 Satellite. Did a pressure test and it leaked from the core, so ordered a commonly advertised aftermarket unit. Don't know if same one Classic sells, it was a nice piece and physically fit, however the tubes did not line up properly with the bypass valve and the copper tubing to the firewall. Returned the repop and sent the core to Glen Ray.
