I've pulled apart many original A,B and E bodies over the decades that had these as well, rather random applications, not all vehicles seemed to have these installed.... perhaps it was plant/vendor specific? or a later production revision?.....

FACTORY . Used to stiffen and support upper Arm bushings . Can be added to vehicles that dont come with them also on rebuilds . I think i bought my last DOZEN spacer Arm supports from Frank B . and I have installed on both sides , on both arms for 1 of my auto cross buddy's . His car , His arms and he wanted all 4 done . yes, factory as has been said, across all body styles and random examples. sometimes on both front bushings, sometimes only one. several FSM's refer to these as for heavy duty taxi or police. i made a bunch of these many, many years ago, because they weren't available. i forget what i did with the blueprints, but if a guy has a lathe, they are a snap to make.
