71 Cuda Wheels - 11/01/21 09:06 PM

Which Rallye wheels and what size would have most likely come on my 71 Cuda?
It has what looks like the Magnum 500's on it but not sure because it seems the outer shell (?) of the rim is painted with beauty rings. Probably use to know this but it has been a while since I worked on the car. I did 90% of the restoration myself but I have not worked on it much since then which is about 15 years now. I do know that I want Rallye rims, any advise on this would be appreciated including what is the best way to get a set (new from Wheel Vintiques, trade...)? I would want 5.

Thanks, Kevin

'69-up Mopar Magnums used trim rings over black barrels.
Broadcast Sheet will specify which wheels it was born with.

the most common wheel & tire combination for a '71 'cuda was: W21 & T87

14x5.5" Rallye wheels w/trim rings & F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas w/Raised White Letter tires

here's the breakdown for US spec'd '71 'cudas hardtops & convertibles combined (86% of the years' production)

Great, thanks. I will pull out the build sheet.

Did not know there were so many options, are Road Wheels similar to Magnum 500's?

If it came with these wheels I might leave it alone, I will try to post a picture.

Road wheels had a black painted hoop with trim rings. Magnum 500's looked the same
except that the hoop was chrome, so no need for a trim ring.
