70 CHALLENGER ANTENNA BEZEL ISSUE

i have 1 nos bezel [complete assy nos also that came with it. ] and one repro bezel... both make the antenna mast lean outwards from the body.. is this normal?..or is there a different bezel that will make the mast sit straight up? thanks guys

Just rotate the bezel 90 degrees

Just like PhillyRag said. You can see the the bezel has a slight height variation and it has to be correctly oriented on the fender to make the antenna point straight.

Seems i tried to put it in opposite and it would not fit in the fender...and since the bezel has a cut out inside it at an angle, if i did flip it , it looks like it would bend mast inward too far....will look again tomorrow thanks guys..

I have a new reproduction that doesn't fit the contour of the fender. I had to have the original one re-chromed.

MINE IS AN NOS ORIGINAL...but i am not sure its for a 70 non t/a challenger...i cannot find a single picture online of a 70 challenger pass fender with an original antenna..all seem to have the cheap aftermarket ones..

flipped it 90 degrees and the antenna is way too far leaning inwards now..i tried 3 other [unidentified] nos bezels i have ,...and one repro supposedly for a challenger , and all are making mast lean one way or the other a ton!..

sadly i took car apart 35 yrs ago and do not know where original is...i prob tossed it because i had bought this nos one... does anyone have a pic of a known correct original non t/a 70 challenger bezel?...

the repro guys show all different kinds and styles so i have no way to know whats right... thanks

It should be correct for 70-74 Challenger.

They have a part number on them. What number is on your NOS one?

sadly cant read it at all.. but by picture its a 68-70 b body and 70 t/a challenger...i bought the antenna nos in the mid 80's at the dealer...obv the correct one eitehr wasnt avail or it was superceeded to the t/a one..as close enuf..

Here is a 70 Challenger. I don't know why but the book shows a different part number for 70 versa 71-4.

I know 2 of the 5 are bezels shown are for the inside door panel for the remote control of the Drivers side mirror...

I ENDED UP BUYING A REPRO FROM VANS AUTO OFF FLEABAY...AND LUCKILY IT FITS PERFECTLY AND THE ANTENNA IS STRAIGHT... FINALLY
