How were the upper control arms on 1970-2 A bodies originally finished from the assy line/factory? Bare,painted black,cosmoline? Thanks for any info!!

They were Cosmoline dipped.

I'll just add that on Dave Walden's 70 Valiant the uppers were bare and the LCA's were cosmolined.......

Don’t forget 70-72 A-bodies were built in LA too.

Thanks for the replies so far.I'll add another question to my post.Were the ball joints and control arm bushings installed before or after a coating was applied? Assuming there was a cosmoline or dip painting done

My bad. I must have had too much gin before I posted. Uppers were plain steel. Lowers were dipped in Cosmo
