There are original Custer Jacks, near perfect reproductions that a few years ago sold for $ 725 or so, other original Custer Jacks that are very good-though some details are off, and all kinds of scissor jacks from whatever.

Best to have an original jack physically next to what you are looking at.

Best to know a lot before putting any money on the table. So many variables today in what you could be looking at.

Original handles are relatively easy to come by. Because Custer made a lot of them for various jacks. Again, have an original side by side of the prospective purchase.

Custer made a lot of similar jacks. Plenty of smart people have been looking for originals for a long time, welcome to the club.

I'd suggest looking for and buying closely styled original $ 25 original Custer jack until you know a whole lot more than you do now.
