This never seen before picture was posted be #edjustice on Instagram

It’s a Pace Car for the “Pennzoil 100” under 2 liter race on October 29, 1967. This was a companion race to the 1967 Can Am “Times Grand Prix”

The gold Hemi GTX vert magazine car owned by Steve Atwell was the pace care for the main featured Can Am race.

This 440 GTX hardtop is medium blue, black top, blacked out hood, magnum 500’s, remote mirror, and blue stripe.

The unique blue stripe might help track down this car. Car should have So Cal roots. Atwell says his gold Hemi convertible was sold used at a So Cal dealership.

You can see Steve Atwell’s gold Hemi 1968 GTX Conv pacing this race.

But at minute 9:26 you can see the blue/blue hardtop GTX pace car. As a p!$$ed Denny Hulme flys by backwards on pit lane !!

Could someone contact Steve Atwell and link him to this thread?

I think it’s noteworthy info to go along with his Hemi GTX.
