Tire dressing? - 10/11/20 02:26 AM

Looks like my old go to tire dressing, One Grand ERV, is no longer available. What do you guys use on your tires to give them the clean, not so gloss, look?

I just use plain old Dot 3 brake fluid. Sponge it on sparingly rubbing it in, then wipe em dry. thumbs

Stoner Tire Shine, easy to apply, not too glossy if you don't apply more than one of two coats. After a day or two it just looks like a new tire. Pretty good longevity, the first rain you drive through won't kill it.

Have you tried: https://www.thezstore.com/store/merchant.mvc?
It seems to be available? I didn't try checking out with it though.

Armor All Wheel and Tire CLEANER.

Not glossy at all. more like the original tire look as it cleans most everything from tire's rubber. You can finish the tires with some regular Armor All sprayed on a soft cloth and a quick wipe but I like the non-gloss look of cleaned tires that you get from the tire cleaner.

Soap.

Water.

Sponge.

Elbow Grease.

Rinse.

Quick wipe with terrycloth.

My 15 to 20 year old tires look like they just came out of the warehouse.

The look on people's faces when they ask what product I use on my tires is priceless. wink

I don't fall for those Armor All tire shine and Pennzoil commercials that get beat into your skull on all the Sunday morning car programs. I recommend you don't either. twocents

Armor All Wheel and Tire CLEANER in NOT their tire "shine" or a tire shine product it's tire cleaner for brake dust and road grime that works better than soap and water and way, way less "elbow grease" effort to get the rubber CLEAN and back to a natural look.

I use the Meguiars#40 also with good results. Its not a silicone based product so it won't destroy the rubber on the tires either.

Absolutely LOVE this product on anything black, both rubber or plastic. Low shine, smells great, lasts, not too greasy.
