Cuda Rallye hood callouts - hidden fasteners

This is the underside of my 71 Barracuda rallye hood. I doubt I could get a pencil between the surface and the underhood framing. Is there a secret to removing/installing the callouts? The one fastener is easy. The other ...wow.

Originals were installed with one time use barrel nuts

These came with barrel nuts. I having problems with access to the one nut on each side that is hidden.

I'm thinking I'll have to pull the hood and work on it upside down to have a chance at getting to the nut behind the framing.

what makes you think there is a nut on the other stud behind the brace?

Like I said it 'SHOULD' be a tube style nut like shown earlier

Installing a twist on pal nut like the one stud shown would be near impossible

Good point. I suppose I could remove the one nut I see and see if the emblem comes off.

Total brain fart here. I was hearing and saying barrel nut, but thinking what I had pictured. Ordered the ones you linked to. Hopefully...
