Re: Power Steering Cooler I.D. Question - 05/22/20 06:19 AM

all the Blissfield power steering coolers I've seen are "DDDY" format & have 2 date code stampings on them

3024 = 302nd day of 1974 - Tuesday October 29, 1974 - '75 model year

& that design is NOT correct for a '70 model year MOPAR

here's a proper musclecar Saginaw power steering cooler

the one pictured above has the bracket bent - if fixed, it would mount correctly - but the lines are pointing in the wrong direction

if that's off a MOPAR - work - I'm thinking 1975 C-body "cop car"

Thanks for the quick reply and info.

I put the bracket “back” where it belongs, now fits perfectly. Lines are not a problem, just need a little adjustment, its for a C-body so it’s perfect.

Interesting. Prob 40 years ago in HR / PHR/ CC mag there was an article on homemade "cool cans" for fuel lines. Insulated Ice bucket with two PS coolers like this, in sequence. Fill bucket with ice/ice water/dry ice, plumb fuel lines to it, and chill your gas at the track.
