Is it recommended, or not recommended to sand blast leaf springs.
I'll be taking them completely apart to do so...

A piece of 6" pipe, capped and soak them in evaporust if they are to be finished in bare metal. If black painted or real rusty and pitted, then blast them. Depends what you want.

I was wondering if sand blasting them would hurt the spring rate at all

wont hurt the spring rate. have your blaster blast with a fine media. anything numerically below 50 grit is rock, 50-100 glass is a great media for leafs. i blast probably 15 sets a month and no issues.

Always wondered if powder coating spring leafs at 375 degrees would harm them.

I had the springs for 2 different cars acid dipped and powder coated with no ill effects
