What do these numbers mean on a 18 spline tail shaft?

Not unique to an 18 spline. 70-Up B/E

They just identify specific parts and distinguish revisions made through the years.

C99129 is a 69 and newer main case, could be machined for either 307 or 308 bearing.

C99539 is 70-up B/E or Truck/Van 308 bearing extension housing.
