I have a complete NOS set for a 1972.

It has the 340s detached.

They've been inside a house for the past 35 years.

No guarantees on how well the adhesive is.

Make me an offer I can't refuse. :-)

I would highly recommend Performance Car Graphics for reproduction stripes. I purchased decals from Phoenix and they were not exact to my NOS set. Performance Car Graphics were spot on. Don't waste your money like I did.

The rear quarter panel stripes are left and right sided to match the contour of the quarter panel.. The door and front fender decals are the same on both sides. Performance Car Graphics had left and right sides marked for easy identification.

what we did is replaced the front fender with a new one from AMD. when we go to install the stripe it will not follow the body line, the stripes are cut straight, but the fender line has a slight a arch to it. almost a 1/8" in the center of the fender???? if we try to move the stripe to follow the fender line it will wrinkle the stripe?

would like to know how you place the stipes on the car? do you place them on the body line, or below the body line?
thanks

The body line should run straight through the middle of the stripe.

i went through the build up of you duster it is very nice, you did a great job onit. We have a 1972 duster that we are puting new strip on it, we had to replace the fender from a incident with another car. the stripes do not match up like the other side of the car ,the stipe follows the body line on the the fender.we bought 3 different stipes from 3 different companys and they do not follow the body line, they are all cut straight, the upper body line on the fender is not straight there is a slight arch to it..not sure why Year One will not sell the stripe in gloss black any more????All the companys keep saying they are like the originals??? Maybe they should check out the Year One stripes!!!!!

Re: duster strip - 10/26/19 02:37 AM

we just got the stripe from Year One and it was made by https://www.phoenixgraphix.com!!!!! we call Year One and they said that they changed supliers, we put many stripe before on dusters, we know which way they go on, the problem is the fender stipe has a slight arch to the body line, all of the stripes we got do not line up with the body line, they are cut straight so there is a 1/4 " below the body line. this is the problem we have!!!! we have checked other duster with nos stripes and they follow the body line???? if there is any 1972 dusters with nos stripe could you post an up close picture of your fender for me??? THANKS
