71-74 B Body drip rail / roof rail weatherstrip channel - 07/15/19 01:35 PM

E bodies have a stainless gutter / drip rail that screws to the roof. Thne there is a separate glavanized channel that holds the weatherstrip that gets screwed to the roof.

Are 71-74 B bodies the same? Do they have that separate stainless gutter that gets screwed to the roof?

Thanks

My 74 Charger showing stainless driprail, weatherstrip and channel on drivers side rear of window opening during disassembly. I hope this is what you wanted to see.

The stainless does not screw to the drip edge/roof it is a friction fit over the drip edge of the roof.

Yes, 340 cpe is correct. As soon as I removed my vinyl top and slipped the drip rail over as seen in my photo, it was loose. Only the channel screws into the roof. Since I'm not sure I'll be installing the vinyl top back on, I'll need to add something to keep drip rail tight.

Great info guys! Thanks

E bodies have a separate stainless "drip rail" that screws to the roof. THEN the galvanized weatherstrip channel. So there is 2 layers of sealing strips required.

71-74 B bodies are obviously different.

Thank you. Thank you. The pictures are definitely worth a thousand words.
