2nd generation rear valance panels: AMD fit 68-70 Charger

If I may, for those that have been-there-done-that, what are the issues one may encounter using the AMD rear valance product for their restoration? I'm comtemplating the purchase of an NOS unit, that isn't cheap, versus an AMD unit that is much cheaper, but I run into issues of labor associated with sheetmetal tweeking...

Charger valance I assume.

IMO the section where it rolls up and behind the rear bumper , the edges aren't near as sharp as an original. Some may never catch it. but once you see the difference it sticks out like a sore thumb to me

So to me it would depend on
A - how much more the nos one is.. Me personally value it at about double the repop, maybe even a little more
and B , how much accuracy means to you and you alone

The 2nd gen Charger rear valance and corners have always been an issue with the aftermarket pcs...I did my Charger about 15 yrs ago, I used an NOS valance center and corner repros from Charger Specialties...I had zero fit issues, and neither pcs required any surgery, surprisingly the CS end pieces were extremely accurate

I know the AMD rear valance has been retooled, but it stil has issues with the shape and matching up to factory/NOS corners...the current AMD repro corners on the market have shape/angle issues as well, they can all work, it's just a matter of how much effort you want to put into it....

Troy,there is an NOS rear valence pan in the B body parts for sale section,here on Moparts right now. That car is worthy of NOS parts when they are available.
