what does the Julian calendar date represent?

ok lets try this , does the Julian calander date on the bottom of rb blocks represent the maching date or the assembly date of the motor ? or something totally different?

The 10,000 day calendar isn't the same as the Julian calendar and the date stamped on the pan rail is the date the engine was assembled.

The 10,000 day calendar used during the muscle car years began on July 29, 1961 and ran through December 13, 1988.
