1969 barracuda stripe - 12/17/18 05:27 PM

Looking for detail information for factory stripes for a 1969 barracuda. Like stripe height and placement. I will be sending my car to be painted in the next month or so hopefully and would like to have the factory stripe painted on with the 340 call outs.

This is the placement info from Performance Car Graphics where you can buy the stripe with 340/383 callout.
The actual width of the stripe is 3-15/16" with two 5/16" narrow parts.

do the "340" emblems go away on '69 Barracudas with the sport stripes?
does it matter if it is a Formula S or STANDARD Barracuda?

are the above PCG reference pics a 318 or /6 car? do all 340/383 cars with sport stripes have the "340"/'383" callout? (non-'cuda)

The "Sports Stripes" were not available if the "Accent Stripes" (the 2 thin lines) were ordered.
The Sports Stripes came in black, red or white with 340 or 383 callouts if you ordered that engine. They also came with no engine callout. They were available with or without Formula S package.
They were not available if you ordered the "Cuda 340" or "Cuda 383" option

I can make a paint mask kit for you if you want them to be exact.

Finally got the car painted on Saturday. Stripe isn't 100% per factory, but pretty close and turn out well. Thanks for everyone that commented with info that helped me with this.

Looks just like my F-5 '69 coupe! Or is yous F8? The stripe looks factory correct to me, except too shiny for vinyl and it should terminate in the rear about 3/4" to 1" from the tail light.

If you ordered Formula S, you got the stripes unless you ordered stripe delete.

This photo shows the factory vinyl stripe on original factory paint without the tail light.

The car is F5, just the lighting from that picture make it look darker than what it is. We ended the stripe 1/4" from the end, so we were off a little bit there.

Here's a pic of the green inside before the clear was applied.

I measured the gap between the end of the vinyl stripe and the end of the fender. 11/16” one side, 9/16” the other side. So the gap was 5/8” +/- 1/16”.
