1970 cuda 2 speed wiper switch wiring - 11/21/18 02:29 AM

I am installing my dash harness onto the back of the dashboard prior to installing it as a unit in the car. The harness has two female connectors that land behind the 2 speed wiper switch, one connector has two female plug ins and the other connector has four female plug ins. The connector with the four female plug ins can only be installed one way and I notice one of the plug ins does not land on any of the male spades on the back of the switch. In addition there also seems to be one unused spade on the back of the switch once both plug ins are connected. Any help would be appreciated.

A 2947404 two speed wiper switch does not support an electric motor pump for the washers. The manual foot switch is how the washer fluid is pumped to the windshield. I am showing a 2770380 variable speed switch to show that the W terminal in not installed on a this two speed wiper switch. The e body 70-71 dash harnesses were all made the same, rallye or non rallye with the brown wire present on the socket for the W position that runs to bulkhead position 19 to drive the washer pump motor if a variable speed wiper setup was installed from the factory.

The B/U terminal is the output side of the internal circuit breaker, not used on an e body and is left open on two speed and variable speed wiper switches.

The two speed wiring on the four terminal socket may require swapping of the A and F1 wiring. The effect that would occur is if you find that when turning the two speed switch on to the first position, fast movement would be enabled. Then the second position would be the slow position. If that would occur, this swap with take care of that.
